Kohlhoffs im Baltikum

In meiner Kohlhoff-Familie hält sich hartnäckig die Legende, daß einer der Vorfahren aus Russland oder aus dem Baltikum stammt. Vielleicht ist diese Story auch entstanden, weil ein Verwandter unserer Ahnen ins Baltikum ausgewandert ist. Ich habe versucht, der Sache nachzugehen und habe im Internet allerhand über zwei Kohlhoff-Familien in Reval (Tallin) im 18. Jahrhundert gefunden, nur keine Verbindung zu unserer Familie.

From at least the seventeenth century the surname Kohlhoff was to be found in many places across Pomerania and adjacent areas. These pages contain photographs taken during a recent tour of part of that region, mostly of towns and villages with some connection to Kohlhoff families of the past.
