Corny's Pamphlet

(Many thanks to Elaine Kohlhoff Drummond and her son Mike Drummond for access to this material.)

Charles Cornelius (Corny) Kohlhoff was born around 1854 in India. He was a son of Christian Frederick Kohlhoff, a judge in the Travancore Sudder Court who was a grandson of Johann Balthasar Kohlhoff. Corny married Celestina Florence Mead (a daughter of the Rev Charles Mead) in 1893 at which time he began his historical pamphlet(s). A few pages from the pamphlet are given below.

While Corny indicates that he obtained some information from family papers there are some significant discrepancies in now known dates and names. The source and reliability of some of the earliest Kohlhoff data is unknown as is any relationship with this branch of the Kohlhoff family.
